Online Virtual Classes

Livestream via Zoom

All virtual, online classes are 30-minutes in length and I will give modifications during the workouts. Equipment is optional (hand weights, floor mats, resistance bands). Make sure that you have plenty of open space around you to safely and effectively perform exercises, and hydrate throughout your workout!

Description

This class uses hand weights to perform various exercises for upper and lower body strength and endurance. Each exercise is performed for 8-15 reps, or by time.

Equipment

  • Dumbbells. If you do not have dumbbells, you can still participate using filled water bottles/jugs, detergent bottles, etc.
  • Yoga mat, towel, or area rug in order to perform floor exercises.

The Monthly Challenge

Description

This class will focus on strengthening your core muscles (abdomen, middle back, and lower back) while also incorporating some upper and lower body work too!

Tabata

Duration: 30 minutes

Description

Tabata is a type of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) that consists of eight sets of fast-paced exercises each performed for 20 seconds interspersed with a brief rest of 10 seconds. In this class, we will perform 4 Tabatas alternating Supersets* before moving on to the next Tabata. Each exercise will be performed 4 times within the 8 rounds, which equals 4 minutes of work.

*What is a Superset? When you perform exercises back-to-back with minimal to no rest in between. In Tabata a superset is two exercises performed within one Tabata set in an alternating “Superset” process.

Online Classes

  • Do I need to register each time I want to attend an online class?

    You do not need to register for any individual classes. You only need to create and verify your account and purchase at least one class pass.

  • Where do I find the Zoom link for class?

    Please log in to your account then visit the class listings for the Zoom link.

  • When should I log in for a Zoom class?

    Please log in 5 minutes before class start time.

  • Do I need to enable my camera and microphone?

    Your use of a camera and audio are optional. I like to see your video stream during class so I can keep an eye on form and offer modifications and encouragement.

    During class, all participant audio will be muted. Feel free to unmute and chat during the cooldown period at the end of class.

  • What should I wear?

    Wear comfortable sneakers and workout clothing.

  • How and when will I be notified if an online class is cancelled or rescheduled?

    Please check the website or the Because Fitness Facebook page for updates. Changes will be posted no later than 2 hours before the originally scheduled start time.
